Michelle Irving is a sound engineer and composer with experience in sound design, recording, mixing, music editing and composition for film. Projects include dramatic & experimental film, documentary, web series, commercials, and various artist installation and interactive works. She has contributed to a number of notable projects including Rings of Fire (Candida Paltiel, Al Jazeera English), The Corporation (Mark Achbar), Scared Sacred (Velcrow Ripper), The 7 Interventions (Katerina Cizek, NFB) and recently Hernan Jimenez’ Entonces Nosotros which was selected as the Costa Rican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards. Michelle grew up in New Brunswick and studied at NSCADU, later completing an MA in interactive arts and technology at Simon Fraser University. She lives and works in Toronto.
